Celebrity Retouch

1) My main objective of this piece was to make Bill Murray look less wrinkly as naturally as possible. I wasn't necessarily trying to hide his age, or make him look younger, but I wanted to preserve his age and remove any obvious flaws.

2) Primarily, the tools I used for this project were: liquify, spot healing brush, patch tool, paint tool, dodge tool, burn tool, sharpen tool, and the eraser in case I made mistakes.

3) One of the challenges I faced was changing his lips to be bigger and visible, without making his face look too photo-shopped or unnatural. I was also challenged with the task of trying to change Bill's hair to be dark brown like it was when he was younger. I ultimately changed my goal of the project to not make him younger, but more youthful than his years while preserving his age at the same time.

4) I feel that there should be a warning on advertised images if the photo was retouched. Even if the smallest blemish was removed from a model's face and that's all that was done, it still changes the appearance of the model and gives girls and women of all ages a false perception of perfection.
